Our children are our future.
Through exposure to nature and our respectful nurturing of our environment, children learn to become capable, ethical custodians of it.
We have a large, leafy playground where we spend 2 hours most days. There are many mature trees, (some are climbable!) 2 gardens which the children cultivate with vegetables, herbs and flowers. We have fruit trees, a worm farm and a large digging patch where the children can make rivers and dams, using water from our rainwater tanks.
We have solar cells on the roof, creating our own power and feeding some back to the grid and a heatpump hotwater system, powered by the ambient temperature. We practice sustainable usage of our resources, composting our scraps or feeding the worms. We cook with our produce and parents pick our herbs and use them at home too.
We encourage families to send fresh, unprocessed food with a minimum of packaging.
